Who can join our tournament?

This basketball tournament is for boys under 14 years. This year we are organizing tournament for generation 1994 and under. Teams from european basketball clubs are welcome to apply. Here you can find some pictures from previous tournament

Subscription

You can subscribe by filling in the entry-form before March 15 2009. Please do so as soon as possible! Think about visas if necessary.

Participating teams

Teams are invited from Serbia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina and other European countries. The maximum tournament capacity is 12 boys’ teams, under 14 (born after 1994). This year we are planning tournament with 12 teams.

Programme

The program provides tournament: qualifying tournament, semi-finals and finals for each placement

Evening fun

Evening time will be free for all participants. Kragujevac is a city with a lot of cafes, restaurants and clubs. There are several promenades where people have fun, drink beers (Jelen, Niksicko, Lav, Lasko, Heineken, …), cocktails, alcohol drinks, eat fast food or domestic specialties, etc. Organizer of the tournament will make evening for coaches on the lake Sumarice with beer and barbeque preparation (changeable in case of bed weather, which is rear in this time of year), while kids will have party in local dance club.

Game propositions

The rules of the game are those of the FIBA, with the following adaptations. Pool games and cross finals A number of pools will be formed. The winners of the cross-finals will play the final; its losers will contest the third place. Duration of the games is 4 x 10 minutes running time, with a 5 minutes rest. Each team may take 2 time-outs during one half of the game.

Finals

Duration of the finals is 4 x 10 minutes, with time stops and a 2 minutes rest. Each team is allowed to take 4 time-outs in total and 2 time-outs during one half of the game. Games will be played according to the 24-sec. rule. In case of a draw, there will be a 5 minutes extension. In case of a second draw, the next goal will be decisive ('sudden death').

Referees

The games will be led by official referees from Serbian referee organization.

Prizes

First, second and third place are reserved for the cups. Other basketball teams will receive plackets. There are also prizes for MVP of the tournament, best domestic player, best foreign player and the Fair-Play Cup will be won by the most sporting team of the tournament.

Cost

The enrolment fee is € 85 per team plus the cost for the hotel € 180 per person for 4 days. In case of a one or two nights stay, the costs are € 45 per person per night (see entry form). These costs include bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner in hotel Kragujevac. After confirmation of the teams entry, the enrolment fee, including the relevant costs for staying the nights, have to be transferred before March 15, 2009. Ways of transferring will be indicated in our notice of confirmation.

Travel to Kragujevac, Serbia

If you are coming by plane we will organize for you bus transportation from and to airport - Kragujevac (place of tournament). If you are traveling by bus than we will send you detailed map of the route from the place you cross Serbian border to Kragujevac. You will drive over highway (velocity limit is 120 km/h) and just 15 km of road is with 3 lines where speed limit is from 50-100 km/h. More info about your trip we will send you with our notice of confirmation.

The other side of story, Ivrea, Italy

“We would like to play with kids..."

A simple request at the same time full of meaning: with these words, the members of a Serbian basketball team Kolonac have turned to an Italian delegation in the land of Jugolavia for humanitarian purposes ... Hence was born the project "Kosevi bez granica”.

The first edition, organized in haste, has been disputed in the first days of January 2001 and has been an unforgettable experience in other ways.
First, it is given an opportunity to kids grown in years of war and the many difficulties, and suffocated by the economic crisis in their country, to go out for the first time in their lives from the city walls and visit a Western country and especially playing basketball, sports in Yugoslavia which are always masters.

The tournament was reserved for BAM category, and was attended by KK Kolonac of Kragujevac, Klub Velez Mostar and Baket Academy Tbilisi of Georgia who have been joined by the Ivrea, Fila Biella, Moncalieri, the Santarcangiolese Romagna and the Pielle Matera.
The final saw the boys of Kragujevac impose Mostar on an unforgettable day in sports, but not only ... The 2002 edition has seen an increase in the number of participants, twelve, with a notable growth of the organizational and technical level and quality. This time the trophy has been in Serbia, and to impose was the FMP Zeleznik Belgrade, after a painful end with the Don Bosco Genova to the sidelines ahead of 'Dinner' packed in every order placed.

The 2003 edition saw five teams from the former Yugoslavia and was also the Croatia for the first time with Dubrovnik. The tournament was a very high level, and the final set was again the team of Belgrade, the FMP on Matera.

In 2004, always Slave 5 teams with the arrival of Tuzla and Cacak instead of Mostar and Belgrade. All the matches had a large following public and government have begun to recognize the work of Lettera 22.

For 2005 (early in December'04 for technical reasons) teams were thirteen participants, 7 of which from the Balkan countries.

The 2006 edition has seen its way to 16 teams, with the arrival in Ivrea a Lithuanian team (Kaunas Sabonis, then winners) and a Spanish CB San Josep Badalona.

Location is important!

Location remains the single most important factor when choosing an apartment. It can make or break the value and desirability of a home. Because everyone's preferences vary, your lifestyle will determine the best place for you to live. Some people prefer the suburbs but you prefer Belgrade downtown living. If you favor city living, talk with the neighbors and keenly observe such things as traffic patterns, lifestyles, and even sounds and smells.

Property taxes are small, schools are near, accessibility to work, services, recreation, and the character of the community is great.
